Our ICF accredited programmes are growing in popularity each year thanks to our high quality curriculum and the credibility of both our organisation and the ICF! But did you know, we also offer additional certification paths, including CEC certifications, BCC (Board Certified Coach) and even ICF MCC (Master Certified Coach)? Keep on reading to find out how you can propel your career even further by studying with us…

Achieve a Board Certified Coach qualification

Our programme is designed to cover the requirements for both the ICF designations and BCC (Board Certified Coach). BCC is another coaching qualification, assessed by CCE. This is a regulatory body, similar to the ICF, however, this qualification is not as globally recognised as the ICF designations. BCC is well established in America and, although the ICF will give you plenty of international credibility, having the BCC credential could help expand your client pool.

The only thing you have to do in addition to our programme is complete the reading list set by the CCE and take the BCC exam (application / examination fees payable through the BCC website). This could even be incorporated in the self-study of your ICF programme, so you could further integrate it with your ICF qualification. For more information, check out our blog article on BCC certification process and requirements.

Additional certification options from Center for Executive Coaching

By completing our bootcamp, self-study or even essentials programme you’ll receive a certificate from Center for Executive Coaching, acknowledging your skills and expertise in Executive Coaching. From here, you can achieve additional certification, even before completing your ICF qualification. These include Career Coach, Business Coach and Specialty Designations.

Specialise in Career Coaching with CEC Certified Career Coach

Once you receive our Certified Executive Coach Certification you may get certified with us as a Certified Career Coach. To achieve this, you have two options:

  • Submit three recordings, 30-60 mins each where you are providing career coaching. We will assess these for you and, following a thorough assessment, you will be able to achieve your CEC certificate as a Career Coach

  • Alternatively, you can submit a 3-5 page Word document detailing two career coaching packages you wish to offer to your clients. For example, one for people who are looking for a new direction and another focused on helping people achieve the career goals they have already set for themselves. In the write up, you need to detail the target market, goal of the package, what you will be covering and in what sequence, length, assessments used and pricing. Once approved, we will issue your certificate

Specialise in Business Coaching with CEC Certified Business Coach

Once you receive our Certified Executive Coach Certification you may also get certified with us as a Certified Business Coach. This requires you to understand and study the CASTLE model for business coaching - details can be found in our student portal. Once completed, again, you have two options to become certified:

  • Start coaching clients on the CASTLE model. Then write up a 5-10 page case study detailing how you have taken a small business through the CASTLE model. Explain how you helped them understand what drives revenue, profit, and cash flow; how you helped them develop tactics to improve the numbers; how you helped them strengthen their positioning and strategic planning; how you helped them spend their time as more of a true CEO vs. CEO-employee; and how you helped them improve their leadership/resolve leadership challenges.

  • Submit three recordings, where you are providing business coaching using the CASTLE model. We will assess these for you and, following a thorough assessment, you will be able to achieve your CEC certificate as a Career Coach

Create your own designation and become certified in your niche with our Specialty Designations

In addition to Business and Career Coach Certifications, we encourage students to perform research in their own area of interest, and we can get you certified as an expert in that field. In the past, our students have received the following designations:

  • Technology Leadership Coach

  • Non-Profit Leadership Coach

  • Manufacturing Leadership Coach

  • Government Leadership Coach

  • Women’s Leadership Coach

And more! To become certified in your chosen field, here’s what you need to do:

  • Come up with a topic and a hypothesis to test in your market. The topic should focus on a pressing leadership problem/challenge your market faces.

  • Identify 10-15 leaders to interview about the issue. They should be at different organisations. Your research may be sponsored by an industry leader - emphasising how valuable your research is and that it has the potential to make a difference will help both in seeking sponsorship and gathering participants . You may share the results with your participants, of course, but their answers should remain anonymous for GDPR reasons.

  • Develop a questionnaire

  • Interview your participants via platforms like SurveyMonkey or simply using email

  • Synthesise and write up your findings in a 7-10 page Word document. Include the problem you researched, a framework that explains the root cause of the problem, and your approach to coaching/working with clients to help them solve the problem and get results.

Get Certified as a Master Facilitator

This is an additional certification that gives you access to our training on creating a one-day programme to offer to your clients. This should be on a topic that isn’t covered in the programme, or you can choose from examples below:

  • How we can become more innovative

  • How we can do a better job attracting and engaging millennials to our company

  • How we can attract more female executives among the ranks of our technology company

  • Consulting firm: How we can develop a relationship with and land our first engagement with a company we would love to work with — a very large company in our industry

Ensure it’s a topic that you feel comfortable with and the structure should reflect what you’re able to facilitate for your prospective client.

Become an ICF accredited Master Certified Coach

On top of all these programmes, we are able to facilitate you achieving the MCC credential - highest level available through the ICF, otherwise known as the Level 3 path. With significantly higher requirements for coach experience hours, additional mentor coaching on top of the one you completed through PCC path, and additional performance evaluation, this can be a great path to aim for later down the line as an esteemed coach.

We can facilitate this at an additional cost, whenever you’re ready to take this step, so please contact us directly for a quote
